ProgM is deligthed to announce an evening talk with John Ward, from Cranfield School of Management.

John has done some really interesting research on business cases, benefits management, PMOs and portfolio management and will share some of these with us.
He will also tell us a little bit more about his current research with working title: "PMOs, benefits management, programme and portfolios - How do you make them all work?" As ProgM members, John will welcome your contribution to this piece of research.

More about John Ward...

John Ward formerly worked for IBM but is now Professor of Strategic Information Systems at Cranfield.  He is the co-author of "Benefits Management - Delivering Value from IS & IT Investments" - which is now the standard work on IT benefits management.

ProgM AGM

The event proceedings, prior to John Ward's presentation, will start with our Annual General meeting.  This will be your chance to help shape and direct ProgM.

As well as hearing about what has been achieved over the last year, you can also nominate yourself or colleagues to be office holders or members of the committee for the coming year(s).

Please email Adrian Pyne to obtain a nomination form.

You can propose yourself or others to be Chair, Treasurer or Secretary or a member of the Committee.  The Committee size is flexible and we welcome all who have something to give to promoting the concepts of programme and portfolio management.  You have to be well organised and able to put in some time.  We meet together about once a quarter in London and by telephone every month or so.

If you would like to serve, in any capacity, please obtain and resend a completed nomination form to Adrian Pyne by 20th October.

We hope to keep the formal AGM "short and sweet" to allow maximum time to hear John and to discuss his ideas.

The formal Agenda for this section of the evening will be as follows:

Chairman's Report and Summary of the Year
Treasurers Report
Committee composition
Any other Business

Space is limited , so if you are interested in attending this event, please email Tanya Durlen by 30 October.
