ProgM Evening Meeting
10 November 2009
ProgM, the programme and portfolio management specific interest group, will be holding an evening meeting on the subject of:
Programmes of Change and PMOs
Making them work successfully
Date: Tuesday 10 November 2009
Time: 18.00
Address: Logica Offices
7th Floor Kings Place, 90 York Way London, N1 9AG
RSVP: Friday 30 October 2009
The guest speaker will be Professor John Ward of Cranfield University, School of Management. John will be familiar to many of you as a co-author of “Benefits Management: Delivering Value from IS & IT Investments”, which has frequently been adopted as a standard for IT benefits management. Prior to joining Cranfield, John held senior positions within the IT industry. He currently works with many organisations in both the public and private sectors. This gives him a full understanding of the problems we all face as programme professionals, plus the additional insights provided by top-class academic research.
John will describe the work that he has been undertaking at Cranfield, giving tips on enhancing the chances of programme success through building ‘richer’ business cases, more-effective management of stakeholders, and organising stronger PMOs. John will also describe his latest research and how members of the audience could help and benefit from being involved.
The meeting will start at 6pm and finish at c.8pm on 10th November. John’s presentation will be preceded by the formal business relating to ProgM’s Annual General Meeting. This will be kept as short as possible to give maximum time to hear John and to discuss the ideas and issues he raises.
ProgM are grateful to Logica PLC for providing their conference room for the meeting.

ProgM AGM
Prior to John Ward's presentation on 10th October, there will be a short AGM. This will be your chance to help shape and direct ProgM.
As well as hearing about what has been achieved over the last year, you can also nominate yourself or colleagues to be office holders or members of the committee for the coming year(s).
Please email Adrian Pyne to obtain a nomination form.
You can propose yourself or others to be Chair, Treasurer or Secretary or a member of the Committee. The Committee size is flexible and we welcome all who have something to give to promoting the concepts of programme and portfolio management.
