The Crown Prosecution Service works to secure justice for the victims of crime by prosecuting criminal cases in England and Wales. In practice it involves a huge range of people working together – prosecutors, the police and caseworkers. In that sense, your role and what you achieve will be no different.
Like every other major organisation our vital work is driven by IT. Your brief will be to manage the development, delivery and implementation of a range of programmes and projects such as deploying the Knowledge and Information Management programme and the electronically Connecting Information and People programme. Other projects support further e-enabled change.
It will see you work with service providers, the Office for Criminal Justice Reform, the National Policing Improvement Agency and more, dealing with each one professionally. Specifically, you will contribute to OCJR strategic discussions and input to our project management and IT development methodologies as a whole.
Prince2-qualified or equivalent, you will be adept at managing a team, resources and processes, and have a sound understanding and experience of programme management. Budgetary skills or the ability to develop them quickly will be important, as will your determination to make sure IT solutions clearly benefit the business.
It is an opportunity to make your expertise work for one of the most important causes in the country.
